Deni Dzhantaev
Attorney
Deni Dzhantaev represents clients in litigation and regulatory compliance matters. His areas of expertise include international economic law, privacy and data protection, immigration law, real estate transactions, and regulatory compliance.
Before joining Musaev & Associates, PC, Deni served as a Staff Attorney at Google (via Fronteo USA) in San Jose, CA, where he supported privacy and data protection initiatives, ensured regulatory compliance, managed privacy incident responses, and handled third-party data requests.
Previously, Deni worked as an Associate lawyer at Moscow based law firm, advising clients on real estate matters including transaction structuring, due diligence, licensing, title acquisition, and dispute resolution.
Deni also gained valuable experience as a Disaster Recovery Specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration, reviewing compliance and regulatory matters related to loan documents. Additionally, his international experience includes private consulting on high-volume commercial agreements in Shanghai, China.
During his studies, Deni participated in the Immigration Law Clinic at the University of Arizona, where he provided legal assistance to immigrants in collaboration with the nonprofit legal organization Southern Arizona Legal Aid (SALA). Previously, at the University of Pennsylvania, he took part in a pro bono project aimed at assisting detained immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center (PIRC). Deni also contributed to the preparation and submission of a report to the UN Human Rights Committee regarding the compliance by U.S. authorities with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, specifically concerning the rights of unaccompanied children held in detention within the United States. The report was submitted on behalf of a prominent non-governmental organization, the Women's Refugee Commission.
Deni is admitted to the bar in New York and Alaska and is eligible for admission in all UBE jurisdictions. He holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and LL.M. in International Economic Law & Policy from the University of Arizona, where he also participated in an exchange program at McGill University in Montreal. Additionally, he earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Wharton Business and Law Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from RUDN University Institute of Law in Moscow.
